Our story began in Modena in 1912, when Elena Monari obtained a license to sell balsamic vinegar and founded what would become Monari Federzoni. Since then, four generations have carried on a tradition deeply rooted in the local area and the cultureof Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI.
Today, we are among the leading producers of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena on the international stage. We cultivate 104 hectares of vineyards with varieties such as Lambrusco, Trebbiano, Ancellotta, and Albana, and we maintain over 5,500 barrels and barriques, in which time, experience, and the characteristics of the wood contribute to defining distinctive aromas and profiles.
Our connection to the Modena region goes hand in hand with a concrete commitment to sustainability. In our vineyards, we employ practices such as drip irrigation, weather monitoring, and integrated pest management, with the goal of using resources in an increasingly careful and responsible manner.
From our family roots to our presence on international markets, our history spans over a century of experience in the production of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
